I have travelled to many beautiful places in the world by setting my travel goals.  USA, Canada, Cruised to Alaska, walked The Great Wall of China , Cruised down the River Seyne in France, spent a ‘White Christmas’ morning with my daughter in Austria in an open carriage with 6 white horses, pulling it through the Alps, sipping rum toddies, this is just to name a few. I have had major success with a wide range of other goals as well. Is this about pumping myself up? No, in fact not at all!

This is about the power of intention setting or goal setting and following certain practices that keep us motivated and interested. It’s about setting small goals no matter what they are!

I am very inspired by a mantra that was delivered by Diana Nyad. A 64 year old woman who swam from Cuba to Florida on her fifth attempt and is the first and only woman to make this 177 km journey. When asked by Oprah, what inspired her to keep going in the water when she would surely have experienced the urge to give up, Diana said her mantra was this:

“I have an uncompromising relationship with my goals, I never give up, I fight to the finish”

What a powerful commitment to herself, and what a commitment to self-belief! She left mediocrity behind and found her attachment to her dreams was far more powerful than her attachment to fears and excuses.

Now, I’m not suggesting that anyone go swim the English Channel but what about just taking the steps and the action to follow your own dreams and live the life you were meant to live.

Let’s live a life of being the best that WE can be. If you haven’t started yet, start today because at the end of this day we cannot relive it. It’s done, it’s over and we just got a day older.

If you have started on your path to creating your life by ‘choice’ rather than ‘chance’ then well done! You are building your success. Keep going! Get that uncompromising relationship with your goals and never give up.

Fight to the finish because you’re worth it!
